Even though one of the most important apps on your phone, the contacts app is usually the most neglected.

Most users are happy with the stock contacts app on their phones.

However, there are power users who have hundreds of contacts on their phones, and their work demands connecting to multiple people via call or message every day.

If you are one of these power users or simply demand more from your stock contacts app then the app I am about to recommend will be really useful.

A few weeks back I stumbled upon an iOS contact management app named Cardhop.

Cardhop is developed by Flexibits, the company behind the massively successful calendar app Fantastical.

At its core, it’s a contact app on steroids.

By Flexibits

Notable Features:

Actions

Cardhop has a great natural language parsing feature where you can type actions like “call Amar” or “message Amar” and it directly calls or messages that person. Effectively reducing a few additional clicks or taps from the workflow.

Apart from calls and messages, it supports a bunch of other actions.

Adding Contacts

I have always found the process of adding a contact on stock contact apps really painful and time-consuming.

In Cardhop, with the power of its NLP engine adding a contact super easy. As you can see above it automatically picks up phone and email from your unstructured text and creates a contact.

Setting Up Meeting

Again inviting or setting up a meeting is just a matter of you typing invite and the people you like to invite as shown below.

Conclusion:

I have been using the free version of the app for the last few weeks and happy with the free tier so far.

I see the value of having a powerful contacts app especially if your work demand connecting to a lot of people on the go daily.
