If you relate to any of the things below, the app that I am about to recommend is for you.

  1. Your favorite pass time during the spring & summer season is to visit nearby garden centers.
  2. You get envious, looking at other people's beautiful front yard and healthy plants.
  3. You spend a lot of money on buying plants that hardly last a season.

Even though none of the above applies to me, and I have an in-house plant growing expert in my wife, I wanted to learn to take care of my home office plants.

As I always do, I went on a hunt for an app that can help with this and found Greg.

Greg is an intelligent plan caring app that tells you exactly when to water your plants.

As in all modern apps, signing up and initial setup is simple.

In a conversational style, the app will ask you a bunch of questions about how many plants you have, how experienced you are with plants, whats your growing style is.

After the initial sign-up and set up you will need to add plants in the app.

Adding plants is simple. Again in the conversation style, you will be asked to take a picture of the plant so that the app can identify the species, how much sunlight you plant get, the size of the pot, etc.

Once you add all the plants and their details, all you need to do is enable notification, and whenever it is time to water the plants Greg will send you a notification.

The app allows you to add up to 5 plants in the free version, which is the exact amount of plants I have in my home office.

I have been using the app for the last couple of weeks and will be tracking each of my plants' growth. I want to know, can an app really help you to grow plants? Hope the answer is yes.

Thanks for reading.
