5 Youtube Channels to Subscribe If You Are an F1 Fan
Thanks to Netflix’s show Drive to survive seems like everyone is an F1 fan these days. However, I define F1 fans in below three category
- Real Fans — These are the OG F1 fans. They have been following F1 and other motorsports for decades. These are hardcore F1 fans who discuss technical regulations, watch F3 and F2, and spot a potential talent who will one day be an F1 champion.
- Casual Fans — These are the F1 fans who follow F1 casually. They have seen today’s backmarker & midfield teams like Williams, McLaren, Renault, Ferrari dominate the world championship in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Have seen the spectacular rise of Mercedes from being just an engine supplier to an 8-time world champion.
- Drive to Survive Fans — These are relatively new to the sport that has been introduced to F1 by Drive to Survive. Although, their understanding and knowledge of the sport is limited they are willing to learn more so that they can enjoy it more.
I am a casual fan and Drive to Survive has brought back the F1 excitement in me that got lost due to Mercedes and Hamilton’s dominance in the last 7 years.
Irrespective of the fan category you fall under, I have compiled a list of recommended YouTube channels that you should subscribe to.
1. The Race
If you want to keep up to date on what’s happening in F1, from new technical rule changes to new development to opinions on the race tactics, etc., this is a YouTube channel to follow. They publish the videos quite frequently and on varied topics.
WTF1 is one of my favorite F1-related YouTube channels. They use infographics and animations to explain hard-to-understand F1 topics. If you are the type of person who likes to go in-depth into rules, post-race analysis this is the channel for you.
The F1 and motorsport channel by fans for fans ----- Follow WTF1 ----- Subscribe to WTF1: http://bit.ly/WTF1Subscribe…
3. Josh Revell
This channel is hilarious. If you want to get news & views on recent and past drivers and teams all while having a good laugh, then this is a channel you should subscribe to.
Tommo channel is similar to The Race where Tom the host of the channel talks about various F1 topics. Compared to The Race this channel has much better graphics and design aesthetic.
5. F1 Official
Last but not least is the F1’s official youtube channel. This is where I see all the highlights and pre-race shows. They publish at least one video a day. This is where you get to see all the official F1 footage without paying anything.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the race
